The Riu Touareg caters for everyone with both child friendly and adult only facilities available across the hotel meaning the adults looking for a peaceful getaway will not be disturbed by the children looking for fun and games! The adult only section of the hotel comprises of a selection of rooms in a section of the hotel and these have additional extras just for adults and cannot be found elsewhere in the hotel. These include an alcoholic drinks dispenser in the room, access to an adult only pool and the opportunity to dine in the adult only gourmet restaurant.
Families staying at the hotel will be kept busy with children’s pools and a playground with lots of activities and two kids clubs.

The standard rooms at Hotel Riu Touareg all have the basic facilities in stunningly designed rooms with air conditioning, television, mini fridge and a large en-suite bathroom. Those choosing to upgrade will get extra space, sofa and further beds for families.

In addition to the adult only and kids only pools there are a further five pools across the resort and surrounding each pool there are a range of sun loungers and towels.

Food is always important in an all inclusive resort as you will have almost all of your meals at the hotel and you will not be disappointed by the choice on offer at Riu Touareg. There is a main buffet restaurant where you can dine on the terrace or if you’d prefer a set menu there are two further restaurants and one by the pool serving grilled food!

Being my first all inclusive holiday I was worrying, what if I didn’t like the food? But there was no need to be concerned the buffet meant there was a large variety and with the other restaurants at the hotel you could have something new every day and the cooking stations meant although it was a buffet you got freshly grilled food. The rest of the facilities at the hotel were equally as good with big pools and plenty of seating around.

The Hotel Riu Touareg is fantastic, a clean and spacious resort with friendly staff. Overall this is great value for money and you will not regret staying here. The beach is one of the focal points of the hotel, white beaches and glistening seas with great weather, what more could you want?

The Morabeza has a claim to fame – it’s the birthplace of tourism in Cape Verde – and in some ways it was a single man’s work. The Belgian inventor and entrepreneur Georges Vynckier had grown tired of sleet and dark winters. With materials that were shipped from Belgium, he built his dream home on the then completely untouched Santa Maria beach on the island of Sal. To get drinking water, he had brought a solar powered plant that desalinated seawater.

As fate would have it South African Airlines also began to stop in the Salsa airport to refuel and change crews during long flights. Thus arose the need for a hotel for pilots and cabin crews, and in 1967  the Vynckier couple  opened one guesthouse with 16 rooms. The business did well and expanded soon. But in the mid-80s, when the number of rooms has grown to more than 100, just as suddenly the traffic stopped  and “Pousada Morabeza” stood without guests.

Later the idea was born to let the world know about the 10-km-long Santa Maria beach potential as a holiday destination. The State of Cape Verde helped with infrastructure, marketing, and built a second hotel (today’s Belorizonte) nearby. And the rest is a sunshine story, in a double sense.

Today’s Morabeza hotel is an intimate and tastefully designed hotel. The atmosphere of a private villa with guest house lingers even though the hotel has grown into a modern beach resort.

Climate In Kenya

Large hotel complex consisting of several small buildings located in tropical garden. Breezes Boavista has a very quiet location on a white, several kilometres long beach.
